Camp Staff Volunteers

Camp Minsi depends on the service and support of volunteers to help us provide quality programs to the hundreds of Scouts that visit our facilities every year. Minsi Trails Council and the Boy Scouts of America place a great importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our campers.

BSA national camp standards require that all camp staff members, including volunteers, be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA adult application requests background information on all volunteers and Youth Protection training is also required for all registered adult volunteers in the BSA.

Additionally, as of January 1, 2015, Pennsylvania State Law dictates that any individual, age 14 and older, who interacts with, supervises, or otherwise oversees minors in program activities, recreational, and/or residential facilities must obtain the proper state and federal clearances. This applies to all camp staff membersboth paid and volunteerwho interact with camp participants.

You will find links on this page to all the required documents for camp staff volunteers. If you have any questions regarding these policies, please feel free to contact Paul Oswald, Minsi Trails Council's Director of Camping, at 610-465-8576 or
